Also available with pre-soldered headers!<\/p>\n<p>The Zero W is a\u00a0<strong>super-small, hackable<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>ultra-low-cost computer.\u00a0<\/strong>It uses the same 40-pin GPIO arrangement as its larger siblings, so it&#8217;s compatible with a wide range of addons.<\/p>\n<p>To attach HATs (and other things) to your Zero W you&#8217;ll probably want to solder on a\u00a040 pin header. The vanilla Zero W\u00a0<strong>comes without a pin header<\/strong>, but you can pick up a Zero WH if you&#8217;d prefer one with a pre-soldered pin header, direct from the manufacturer.<\/p>\n<p>Pi Zero boards use a\u00a0<strong>mini HDMI<\/strong>\u00a0port for connecting to a display and\u00a0<strong>microB USB<\/strong>\u00a0ports for connecting to power and USB devices. SD cards that work in other models of Pi are not guaranteed to work in your Zero W, so it&#8217;s worth flashing a fresh image if you&#8217;re having problems.<\/li>\n<li>You will require at least\u00a0<a title=\"NOOBS Image Archive\" href=\"http:\/\/downloads.raspberrypi.org\/NOOBS\/images\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NOOBS 2.2.0 (27th Feb 2017)<\/a>\u00a0or\u00a0<a title=\"Raspbian Images Archive\" href=\"http:\/\/downloads.raspberrypi.org\/raspbian\/images\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Raspbian 2017-02-27<\/a>\u00a0or newer. The instructions from the Raspberry Pi Foundation\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.raspberrypi.org\/learning\/software-guide\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a>\u00a0will guide you on how to flash Raspberry Pi OS to your SD card.<\/li>\n<li>* The CSI camera connector on the Pi Zero is smaller than the one on full size Raspberry Pis.
